Anemity 1.1: connections and party updates
Connection IDs, formation swaps, Honor, and a fresh round of improvements for groups, conversations, and smaller screens.
Read the storyAnemity 1.1 is here! This update brings connection IDs for finding friends directly, position swaps for your party, and Honor for the players who make a session worth remembering. We have also tidied up group setup, conversations, and mobile navigation. Let’s get into the changes.
Connection IDs
-
Generate an ID
Choose an expiry that suits your plans.
-
Share it with your friend
They enter it in Connect with a player.
-
Make a plan
Open the conversation and decide what to play.
Already know who you want to play with? Connection IDs give you a direct way to find each other. Generate an ID, choose its expiry, and send it to your friend. They can enter it in Connect with a player to make the connection.
You can manage generated IDs in one place, revoke an ID you no longer need, and remove a connection. Invitations and connection changes also have live notices to help you keep track.
Group setup and management
-
Avatar and orb
Choose the emblem and colour people will recognise.
-
Cover
Set the scene with supplied artwork or your own image.
-
Group details
Add a name and optional description, then review the result.
Giving your group a look of its own is now a guided journey. Work through avatar, orb colour, cover, and group details, with previews along the way. Use supplied artwork or upload your own avatar and cover.
- Group invitations and membership changes now have clearer feedback.
- You can mark group activity as read.
- Leaving a group asks for confirmation before you lose access to its spaces.
- Group options bring post creation, party creation, and settings together when those actions are available to you.
- Members with the required permissions can create text channels.
Party and formation improvements
-
An empty slot
Select the available position to move into it.
-
An occupied slot
Offer a swap and let the other player accept or decline.
Position swaps let you offer your place to another party member. They can accept or decline the offer, and you receive feedback if they decline. An empty position is simpler: select it to move into it.
You can also create a party from your group when eligible. Party menus now bring the available Portal actions together, while member actions let you open a player card or offer a swap.
Give Honor
For the player who kept the party together, explained the tricky bit, or simply made the evening better: Give Honor lets you recognise them.
You have one orb to give. After you use it, your next orb becomes available 24 hours later. The Honor display shows when it will return.
Conversations and replies
A few improvements for keeping up with the conversation:
- Post and feature-request discussions have clearer reply threads.
- Message spacing and scrolling are more consistent.
- Media loading and preview layouts have been refined across screen sizes.
- The emoji picker has updated artwork and improved skin-tone selection, including combinations with more than one tone.
- Channel permission and availability notices make it clearer when you can send a message.
- Blocked-content handling has been extended across profiles, conversations, posts, and text-channel messages. Unavailable conversations explain why messaging cannot continue, with an unblock action where appropriate.
Profile and Cosmetic improvements
Cosmetic now has search and category filters, plus an item-details dialog on mobile. Finding the item you want should take fewer taps.
Profile setup has clearer previews and more supplied avatar and cover artwork. Display-name and appearance steps also have more consistent save actions and layouts.
Other changes
- Feeds: profile and game posts receive live updates. Game pages have clearer loading, empty, and error states.
- Player menus: profile actions, group invitations, and block or unblock controls are grouped together.
- Options: post and request creation actions are easier to find.
- Mobile navigation: refined routes across settings, player and group views, parties, formations, Integrations, and Requested features.
- Mobile controls: context menus use sheets that fit the screen. Profile cards and dialogs have cleaner spacing, with clearer loading feedback and confirmations.
- Website: improved mobile and tablet layouts, centered social links, news selectors inside the cover on smaller screens, and better-sized news captions. Articles now include visual guides alongside their explanations.
Try a connection ID with a friend, settle your party positions, and give Honor when someone makes your session better. If something needs another pass, let us know through Requested features. See you on your next adventure!
